Our mission is to prepare students with the academic skills, strength of character, and emotional well-being to excel in high school and college, lead in their communities, and realize their best possible selves. What started more than 60 years ago as a reading group in the living room of a community leader has grown into a multi-dimensional educational program that also includes five charter schools. East Harlem Scholars Academies are committed to providing youth in the neighborhood with the academic excellence and supports needed to thrive.
